lyrics
You took a stand and shook my hand and then you shook the evil out of me.
Made a sound, cries around, scream and shout the evil out of me.
I´m burning up, fired up a flame to torch the evil out of me.
Baby love they all love you, love so true like evil out of me.
No sign of life
You shot me up to shut it up before you shot the envy out of me.
We drove around I drew a line to drive across the envy out of me.
You stab my back I stab right back, come back and grab the envy out of me.
Kill the dream, kill the song, pull the envy out of me.
I don´t see no sign.
No sign of life and of course no heartache.
I don´t see your eyes.
No sign of life and of course you´re smiling.
Kill the song, kill the dream.
Take the goodness out of me.
Kill the song, kill the dream.
Kill the goodness out of me.

This raw unfiltered demo was my first introduction into Burning Love, and it was love at first listen. Chris's raw vocals blend perfectly into this organized chaos of instruments. You'll feel like you're getting crushed under a 20 ton grindstone, while listening to this. But in a good way. noblica

A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
Another stellar exercise in genre-swapping from Joel Wästber: soul, hip-hop, pop, and singer-songwriting traditions all wrapped up in one. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 18, 2019
The project of 24-year-old Åsa Söderqvist; the new album harbors a clear sound, but is still just as quirky as her previous work. Bandcamp New & Notable May 23, 2017
